Sue-Lynn Noel is Vice-President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Purolator Inc. as well as Co-Chair of its Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Council. Previously she was a partner in private practice and held senior in-house roles in the customs brokerage, transportation and logistics and waste management industries where her focus was on mergers and acquisitions. She graduated with an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002. Sue-Lynn is a past President of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers and served as Vice Chair of the Women’s Equality Advisory Group for the Law Society of Ontario. She has spoken at several seminars and conferences on topics related to business structures, corporate drafting, risk management, due diligence, legal services innovation and the business case for diversity. She regularly speaks to middle school and high school students about a career in business law and mentors many lawyers at all stages of their career. In 2020, Sue-Lynn was named one of Canada’s Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers by Canadian Lawyer magazine in the Business category.
